New Admin: Brooke McGown, CGE Principal & Jacob Hernandez, AP/AD CMS

At Circle Public Schools, we know that great schools need great leaders. As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, we’re proud to introduce two new administrators who will play a key role in supporting student growth and strengthening our school communities: Brooke McGown who will serve as the new principal at Circle Greenwich Elementary, and Jacob Hernandez as assistant principal and athletic director at Circle Middle School.

Brooke McGown steps into her new role with 17 years of experience in early childhood education, including 16 years in the kindergarten classroom and a year teaching preschool. She has also held leadership roles at both the building and district levels, fueling her passion for supporting teachers and focusing on the overall wellbeing of students. Brooke shared, “What excites me most about this new role is the chance to grow as a leader while continuing to serve the district I’ve called home for the past 15 years. I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with the CGE community and becoming part of the CGE family.”

Jacob Hernandez began his teaching career at Bluestem Schools, where he taught middle school math, coached multiple sports, and served as NHS sponsor and a member of the Student Intervention Team. He came to Circle Public Schools in 2023 as a teacher at Circle Middle School and has been active on the Building Leadership Team and coaching staff. “My original motivation for entering education was a desire to serve others,” Jacob said. “As an administrator, I’m excited to help create a positive environment both in the classroom and on the playing surface, and to serve even more students and staff across the school.”

Superintendent Don Potter shared his support for the district’s new leaders, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome Brooke and Jacob into these new roles. They are both passionate educators with a deep commitment to the success of our students and schools. Their leadership will be instrumental as we continue to move forward and build strong, connected school communities.”

We look forward to the positive impact both Brooke and Jacob will make as they take on these new roles. Please join us in welcoming them to their new positions at Circle Greenwich Elementary and Circle Middle School!
