Ancient was the word this morning in second grade. The students had a lot of great ideas on how to define the word. I’m just glad they didn’t point to me!!!

Thank you all for the support for our schools!!

Our fifth graders had a guest teacher join their classroom on Thursday to learn how to make a story plot mountain (ways to remember the plot of a story). Mrs. Bookout “Zoomed” into both classes for the lesson. The students felt like it was a worthwhile activity that they will use in the future.
She also taught them a couple dance moves to enjoy. They learned the pencil sharpener and the board eraser. They were pretty cute dances!

One of first graders common assessment was for the students to write related facts independently. They took the opportunity to do just that while learning about Ireland prior to Spring Break.
The students landed a lot of different facts about Ireland. They also learned about the legend of the leprechaun. For their assessment, students wrote at least two related facts about Ireland.
Their hallway looked green and inviting!! Great job first grade!

Preschool students have been anxiously awaiting the the hatching of their chicken eggs. They have been learning about the process and were ready to hear them chirp! Well, they are hearing them this week!
The morning class was able to witness four chicks hatching from their eggs and the afternoon children witnessed three this week! There are still a few in the eggs that should hatch later this week. What a neat experience for our students!

It’s so wonderful when your blessings come from your community! We were gifted with multiple packets of water at our school this morning, from someone who doesn’t want any thanks, but deserves so many of them! What an awesome, supportive community we live in!!
